London Sports Therapy provides a very unique service by offering ultrasound guided injections, diagnostic ultrasound and expert physiotherapy under one-roof. This enables continuity of care, reduced cost and wait-times for clients and enables a thorough structural understanding and knowledge of your injury so rehabilitation can be entirely bespoke and specific to your needs.
Self-referrals are accepted. A GP or medical referral is not required. We can see you within 24-48 hours.
You will receive a full report on headed letter paper following your procedure. This will include our clinical assessment findings, diagnostic ultrasound findings, a recommended management plan and details of your injection. We perform hundreds of injections each year.
Corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid injections are used for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, hip pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, de quervains tenosynovitis, Morton’s neuroma, plantarfasciitis, tennis elbow and golfers elbow.
We also offer aspiration, barbotage and hydrodistension treatments.
What is the benefit of ultrasound guided injections?
Research shows that ultrasound guided injections ensure accuracy and result in longer-lasting effects compared to non-guided injections.
They improve safety and reduce risk of misplacing the needle compared with injections that are performed without ultrasound guidance. Many people find ultrasound guided injections more comfortable.

Hyaluronic Acid injections
At London Sport Physiotherapy we use the highest quality Hyaluronic Acid on the market. Sinovial is a market-leading product from IBSA, a Swiss multi-national pharmaceutical company. It has major benefits over other Hyaluronic Acid products including Ostenil and Durolane for example.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule found in eyes, skin, soft tissue, organs and synovial fluid in joints. After injury, the production of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid is interrupted. Injecting Hyaluronic Acid in to injured joints and tendons restores the homeostatic balance.
It restores joint shock absorption, lubricates and nourishes at rest, stimulates natural hyaluronic acid production, increases collagen production and inhibits cellular degradation.
Research has shown its efficacy over steroid injections for acute and chronic joint conditions (osteoarthritis, degenerative meniscus, hip impingement), traumatic joint pain and tendon pain.
When compared to steroid injection, Hyaluronic acid provides greater improvement to quality of life, provides quicker and longer-lasting pain relief and has less side effects. Unlike steroid injections, hyaluronic acid does not delay any potential surgery and does not have any known interactions with medical conditions or medications.
